Mossman Golden Era 1977

The Golden Era was Mossman’s top-line instrument and featured select East Indian rosewood back and sides, German spruce top, abalone inlay around the top, three-piece back with abalone back strip inlay, bound neck and headstock, gold Grovers, and an intricate abalone Tree of Life vine inlay up the length of the fingerboard.

Were calling this one our Bluegrass Special! It’s labeled Good instead of Very Good mainly because it is due for a neck reset, hence the price. The action isn’t hateful though for needing a reset and it’s for sale at a lower price for someone to snag before we go ahead with the repair. We will also refret and the price will more than likely be $4000. Bonamassa picked this guitar up twice before we had a chance to clean it up and restring it. It’s definitely a rare and ornate beauty made with the highest quality craftsmanship and materials. Has a passive piezo pickup, probably an early Fishman, that actually sounds surprisingly good. Comes with original hard case.
